Description
Tian Yi Gui Ren · 天乙贵人
In Sinotaoism’s tradition, the Gui Ren talisman is associated with Tian Yi Gui Ren (天乙贵人). The name Gui Ren points to a helpful person: someone whose guidance or timely support makes a difference. Carrying this talisman expresses a prayer for such support and for constructive connections on the path ahead.
What makes a talisman more than an image?
In the tradition followed by Sinotaoism, a talisman’s blessing is understood to depend on both the maker’s spiritual cultivation and the ritual through which it is prepared. The written design alone is not the whole practice.
Ru Hui (入讳) is an essential part of that preparation: through this ritual, the talisman is prepared to carry the blessing of the tradition. Each Sinotaoism paper talisman is made to order with Ru Hui included.
