Description
Tian Yi Xing Jun · 天医星君
In Sinotaoism’s tradition, the Tian Yi talisman represents a devotional connection with Tian Yi Xing Jun (天医星君), the Heavenly Physician Star Lord. Devotees carry it to seek a blessing for well-being and spiritual comfort. The talisman is a religious object and does not replace medical care or treatment.
What makes a talisman more than an image?
In the tradition followed by Sinotaoism, a talisman’s blessing is understood to depend on both the maker’s spiritual cultivation and the ritual through which it is prepared. The written design alone is not the whole practice.
Ru Hui (入讳) is an essential part of that preparation: through this ritual, the talisman is prepared to carry the blessing of the tradition. Each Sinotaoism paper talisman is made to order with Ru Hui included.
